Magnus and Roger
Jolly Roger or Roger (pronunced råger) for short, is the flag and apparent wind indicator of Försöket, and is truly a monster of a flag!
Maybe 80cm in height and 150cm in lenght, It's bigger then a very small person, or a chest of gold or even several small flags!
Hoisting Roger is a bit tricky at times, since roger is normally tied to a specially prepaired pole with holes in it. The pull rope from the flag pulley is threaded trough the holes and fastend. Then Roger is hoisted with some difficulty due to him often tangeling himself with the stay in strong winds to the top of the mizen mast and both ropes are now tensed and secured.
This special hoisting was made to allow Roger to swing freely above the mizen mast without tangeling himself in, and due part because I had a pole which I really liked and needed a use for.
